Vietnam has, in recent years, proved itself as one of Asia's top destinations with many different attractions to offer. The untouched countryside of Vietnam is beautiful and, for many travellers, the opportunity to visit this country is a unique experience and not to be missed.
To the north, Hanoi's unique fusion of Asian and French cultures is a sightseers delight. To stroll through the bustling streets to discover its temples, pegodas and tastes with old colonial charm and Vietnamese culture is a joy to be had. In the south, the city of Ho Chi Minh (Saigon) will make your visit a memorable one. Ho Chi Minh City is the heart and soul of Vietnam. It's a bustling, dynamic and industrious centre, the largest city in the country, the economic capital and the cultural trendsetter.
As Vietnam has a very long coastline, it can offer some of the most hidden and best beaches in Asia. Tourism is not as well developed as in other countries in Asia like Thailand, so there are many unspoiled areas to visit. The most popular are situated in the southern half and include places such as China Beach, Nha Trang or Mui Ne beach.
"I must say I hate George town and only go for visa. I tend to hang around the hotel, waiting to go home and I have to say that the Grand kept me amused for my 3 day stay - all in all a good hotel".
"What an amazing place - my partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our second honeymoon. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. The service was fantastic. The location is super."
"We thought this hotel was great - especially the view from the corner room. It was fantastic! The breakfast was a buffet with a choice of continental or local food. The hotel is in a good location, surrounded by bars and restaurants and the market||s only about a 5 minute walk. We didn||t use the pool but it was there and looked nice and clean. I certainly would go back to this hotel not only for the room but the price as well".
"the rooms were really comfortable with a nice bathroom although the bath could have been a little bigger. It||s right in the middle of Bangkok and close to pretty much everything you||ll need - sky train, markets, restaurants. The breakfast is fantastic as is the view. The only disappointment we had was that you had to pay extra to go to the restaurant on the top of the hotel in the evening".
"The location is great and most of all the service and staff are great. This is the second time that I have stayed at this hotel and would recommend it to anyone. Ask to see the rooms first and check that everything works if not tell the staff and they will move you to another room. You will have to give them 1,000 Baht deposit but there is no problem on getting it back. I also recommend booking over the internet for the cheaper rates".
